Kisan\u00a0Diwas\u00a0is celebrated in the honour of\u00a0Choudhary\u00a0Charan\u00a0Singh who served the nation as a Prime Minister for a very short span of time.\u00a0 Singh\u2019s captivating personality and various beneficial policies in the favour of farmers united all the farmers of India against the landlords and\u00a0Dhanis.\u00a0 He followed the famous slogan\u00a0Jai\u00a0Jawan, Jai\u00a0Kisan<\/strong>, given by the second Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur\u00a0Shastri.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This increased the productivity, and thus India became self-sufficient in various agricultural commodities.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
